new exciting itinerary featuring off-the-beaten track towns in Albania and Montenegro,
as well as Croatia's Pearl of the Adriatic - Dubrovnik. The
highlights of northern Albania, including the cities of Tirana, Berat and Kruja
are combined with the lesser known town of Shkodra and the less travelled routes
of southern Montenegro. This individual itinerary by private car, ends with a
visit to the ancient towns of Kotor and Dubrovnik.

| Day 1 | FLY TO TIRANA Fly
to Tirana with British Airways, transfer to the hotel for 3 nights. Dinner. |
| Day 2 | TIRANA Comprehensive
tour of the capital of Albania, including the Mosaics, Tanners bridge, the National
Historical Museum, the 'ex-block' (the former communist party leaders' residential
are) and an excursion to Mount Dajti by cable car. Dinner and overnight stay in
Tirana. | | Day 3 |
BERAT-DURRES Morning departure to the charming
town of Berat to visit the Citadel built on top of a rocky hill. Visit churches
adorned with beautiful frescoes, the cathedral, Berati Museum and take in the
spectacular view from the ancient walls. In the afternoon, continue to Durres
and visit the amphitheatre and Archaeological Museum before returning to Tirana
for dinner and overnight stay. | | Day
4 | KRUJA-SHKODRA Morning departure
to Kruja, a small hilltop town which played a key role during 15th century Albanian
resistance to the Ottoman Turks, fought by the national hero, Skanderbeg. Visit
the museum dedicated to him and the Ethnographic Museum, before wandering through
the Turkish Bazaar for some handicraft shopping. Continue through northern Albania,
stopping in Lezha to visit Skanderbeg's Memorial and finally reaching Shkodra.

5 | ULCINJ-BUDVA Cross the Albanian/Montenegrin
border and drive to Ulcinj for a short sightseeing tour. Continue along the stunning
Adriatic coast to Bar, Petrovac and Sveti Stefan, a picturesque former fishing
village, situated on a green island in the deep blue sea. Arrive in Budva and
explore the churches and narrow cobbled streets of the Old Town. Dinner and 2
nights stay in Budva. | | Day 6 |
CETINJE-PODGORICA Morning departure to Cetinje,
which was the former capital of Montenegro for 500 years. During its golden age,
Cetinje was the cultural and social centre of the country and its grandiose past
is still visible in the mansions and elegant buildings across the town. After
a tour of the city, continue to Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, a cosmopolitan,
contemporary city without the trappings of modern development. "There is
still no McDonald's in town!" Return to Budva for dinner and overnight stay. |
| Day 7 | KOTOR
Depart for Kotor and explore the charming old city by entering one of the
three gates in the ancient walls. Walk along the marble pavement, shop in the
little boutiques, visit the churches and the Cathedral of St Tryphon and try some
of the best fresh seafood for a few Euros. Visit the church and museum on the
Island of Our Lady of the Rock before dinner and overnight stay in Kotor or Heceg
Novi. | | Day 8 | DUBROVNIK
Arrive in Dubrovnik after crossing the Montenegrin border and check-in
to the hotel for 3 nights. Enjoy some free time to relax by the beach, take a
stroll along the coastal paths or wander around the old streets of the historical
centre. | | Day 9 | DUBROVNIK Morning
city tour exploring this magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afternoon at
