This quote is based on our special contracted airline fares and as such will need to be issued and paid for within 14 days of booking. Therefore we would require £190 per person in addition to your deposit (£100 per person) in order to pre-issue the tickets and safeguard these competitive fares. If paying by cheque please allow 5 working days in order for your cheque to clear. Itinerary Bulgaria- Romania Fly-drive
Day 1	SOFIA Arrive in Sofia and pick up Citroen C1 or similar 5/door with A/C from airport. Drive to Hotel Lion, 3* and check in double room B&B for 1 night.
Day 2	SOFIA TO MELNIK Drive to Melnik via Rila Monastery. Check in Hotel Boliarka, 3* in double room B&B for 1 night.
Day 3	MELNIK TO PLOVDIV Drive to Plovdiv via Rozhen Monastery and stop in Bansko to admire the beautiful national revival buildings. Arrive in Plovdiv and check in Hotel Bulgaria, 3* in double room B&B for 2 nights.
Day 4	PLOVDIV Explore the Old Town with its Roman remains, Byzantine churches and national revival examples.
Day 5	PLOVDIV TO KAZANLAK Drive to Kazanlak through fields of roses, the Valley of Roses. Visit the Museum of Roses and Iskra Museum. Check in Hotel Palace, 3* in double room B&B for 1 night.
Day 6	KAZANLAK TO VELIKO TOURNOVO Drive to Veliko Tournovo via Shipka Pass and stop at Shipka Monastery. Take a short detour to Tryavna, one of the most beautiful villages in the country and stop at Dryanovo Monastery en route. Arrive in Veliko Tournovo and check in Hotel Gurko, 3* in double room B&B for 2 nights.
Day 7	VELIKO TOURNOVO AND ARBANASSI Visit the historical town and drive to nearby Arbanassi, a pretty village with more than 90 churches, old houses and the magnificent Nativity Church.
Day 8	VELIKO TOURNOVO TO BUCHAREST Drive north into Romania via Ruse and check in Hotel Confort Traian, 3* in double room B&B for 2 nights.
Day 9	BUCHAREST Explore the capital city of Romania and do not miss the Palace of Parliament, the Triumph Arch and the Village Museum.
Day 10	BUCHAREST TO BRASOV Drive north to Transylvania and stop at Sinaia Monastery and Peles Castle. En route to Brasov, take a short detour to Bran Castle, the fairytale castle made famous by Bram Stocker’s novel as the residence of the vampire count. Enjoy an afternoon tour of this charming medieval town, with the fine main square and the Black Church. Check in Hotel Curtea Brasoveana, 3* in double room B&B for 1 night.
Day 11	BRASOV TO SUCEAVA Leave Transylvania for the beautiful region of Southern Bucovina via Prejmer Fortress and Piatra Neamt. Visit Agapia and and Neamt monasteries before reaching Suceava. Check in Conacul Domnesc, 3* in double room B&B for 2 nights.
Day 12	MONASTERIES AND SURROUNDING AREA Spend the morning visiting the UNESCO listed Painted Monasteries of Moldovita, Sucevita, Humor and Voronet, and admire one of the most beautiful frescoes in the region, the Last Judgement.
Day 13	GURA HUMORULUI TO SIGHISOARA Today return to Transylvania, the ‘land beyond the forests’, through Bicaz Gorges and along the spectacular and breath-taking narrow road down the mountains. Drive to Sighisoara. Check in Hotel Sigisoara, 3* in double room B&B for 1 night.
Day 14	SIGHISOARA TO SIBIU Perched on top of a hill, the old city of Sighisoara is considered a historical monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as it is one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe. Continue to Sibiu for sightseeing. Check in at Hotel Continental, 3* in double room for 1 night.
Day 15	SIBIU TO BUCHAREST AIRPORT Drive through scenic Olt Valley and stop in Cozia Monastery if time. Drive to Otopeni Airport, drop off car and fly back to the UK.
