China
Visa Information
UK visitors DO require a visa
to visit China or to pass through China by train or
coach.
Regent Holidays can apply for a visa on your behalf in association with CIBT (The Global Visa and Passport Professionals).
You can download
the application form by clicking 'HERE'.
You can also apply for a visa directly
from the Chinese Embassy at Embassy of the People's
Republic of China, Consular Section, 31 Portland Place,
London W1B 1Q or by using a recognised Visa Service.
All applications to the embassy must be in person
- postal applications are no longer accepted. There
are regional Chinese consular offices in Manchester
and Edinburgh where you may apply.
We advise sending you application
form in at least 8 weeks before your travel date.

Health Information
Innoculations are advisable if visiting
China and your doctor can advise you which are necessary
according to which regions you are visiting. Typhoid,
hepatitis A, tetanus boosters and malaria if venturing
away from cities are the most common innoculations
required. Rabies and hepatitis B are sometimes advised.
The risk of encountering avian flu can be minimised
by avoiding areas of dense fowl population, such as
wildfowl reserves, poultry farms etc. The Foreign
Office provides detailed advice.
Whilst our consultants can offer general
advice, they regularly refer to the Foreign Office
and World Health Organisation web sites for the latest
information and we advise clients to do likewise if
in any doubt, or if you have any major health concerns.
