I always recommend my clients should visit the restored Tanners’ Bridge whilst in Tirana. This elegant Ottoman stone footbridge was once used by farmers in the east highlands of Albania to bring their livestock and agricultural products to market. Overlooking the bridge, beneath some fragrant fig trees there is a small café, where you can sip a raki and enjoy the view.

Durres City Breaks

Durrës, Albania’s second largest city, is the country’s most ancient city and has been an important trading hub ever since the first ships docked here in the 7th century BC. Though little of its rich history remains on display today, although the Archaeological Museums houses a superb collection of Illyrian, Greek and Roman artefacts, Durrës is still nevertheless a lively place and a hotspot for Albanians looking for some fun and relaxation on its golden beaches and vibrant promenade area.
