Wroclaw City Breaks

Visit Wroclaw and prepare to be pleasantly surprised by this lively and cosmopolitan city scenically located on the Odra River in the Lower Silesia region. Only becoming part of Poland at the end of World War II, before which it was known as Breslau, Wroclaw has seen much conflict and was devastated as the Red Army blazed its way toward Germany. However it has since been meticulously and magnificently restored to its former glory, boasting a wealth of superb Gothic and Baroque architecture, picturesque bridges and a plethora of fascinating galleries and museums. With five theatres, an opera house and several festivals a year, Wroclaw is also one of Poland’s cultural hotspots.
