Lakes and Krka National Park - with their famous waterfalls - are only a part
of the amazing Croatian natural richness. Osijek is well renowned in the country
for its food and drink traditions and is ideal for trying the local specialties.
Dubrovnik, Split and Zagreb are certainly the cultural must-sees but we will also
stop in Zadar, where the charming Old Town and harbour offer the perfect chance
of mingling with the locals in the many cafes and Mediterranean eateries.

TO DUBROVNIK
Fly to Dubrovnik with British Airways, transfer to the
hotel for 1 night. Dinner. | | Day
2 - Mon | DUBROVNIK-MOSTAR-SARAJEVO
In the
morning we will cross the border into Bosnia-Herzegovina and head to the famous
city of bridges, Mostar. Enjoy the city tour and some shopping for metalwork and
crafts before reaching Sarajevo, the charming capital city. Dinner and overnight
in hotel in Sarajevo. | | Day 3 - Tue | SARAJEVO-OSIJEK
Morning departure to Osijek, the largest city in eastern Croatia, beautifully
set by the River Drava. Explore the town with its lovely Cathedral and the old
fort. Dinner and overnight in Osijek. | | Day
4 - Wed | OSIJEK-ZAGREB
The Croatian
political and cultural capital is a lively and stimulating city, with fine examples
of Austro-Hungarian facades, interesting museums (don't miss the Museum Mimara)
and many cafes, always busy with locals sipping on cappuccinos and chatting the
day away. The tour will include the fortified Upper Town, St Mark's church, the
Cathedral, the Croatian National Theatre and the University. Dinner and overnight

ZAGREB-PLITVICE-ZADAR
Today it is time for
another UNESCO site, Plitvice National Park where there will be time for touring
the 16 lakes and their 92 spectacular waterfalls. The setting of pine woods is
equally pretty. Departure to Zadar. Dinner and overnight in Zadar. |
| Day 6 - Fri | ZADAR
TO SPLIT
This morning we will have an orientation tour of Zadar, the
ancient Zara and admire the treasures the past civilizations have left - the Roman
Forum (2nd century BC), the pre-Romanesque churches of St Donat and St Elias (9th
century) and the city gates amongst the others. Depart for Split - the tour will
include the Peristyle, Jupiter's Temple and the Cathedral, but there will be time
for you to get a good feeling of the amazing city by walking in the cobbled streets
of the Diocletian's Palace. Dinner and overnight in the Split area. |
| Day 7 - Sat | SPLIT
TO DUBROVNIK
Morning departure for Dubrovnik, driving along the scenic
Makarska Riviera. Dubrovnik will not fail to impress you - the beautiful city
is part of the UNESCO World Heritage list and we will visit the Cathedral and
Franciscan Monastery with Europe's third oldest pharmacy. Dinner and overnight
