Whale Watching From Reykjavik Harbour

Summer Whale Watching (April - September at various times)

Summer season is great for whale watching, as the wildlife in the bay is at its best and the minke and humpback whales are at their most abundant. Commonly seen are minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises and humpback whales. During the puffin season (mid-May to mid-August), the boat stops at one of the puffin islands for a closer look at these charismatic birds.

 

Winter Whale Watching (October - March at 1pm)

Winter can be an exciting time to view whales and species may include white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises, humpback whales and killer whales.  The weather can be unpredictable, so boats may depart from other harbours.
