About Jill Young

Jill Young joined Regent in 2002 after spending an exciting year travelling around Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Her most recent visit to Myanmar was in October 2009, when she led our small group tour and will return there in October this year, taking another one of our groups.

Jill spent 3 years teaching in an international school in Ukraine, where she got to know Kyiv like the back of her hand plus visiting some of Ukraine’s other cities and towns. Just don’t ask her about her road trip to Kamenets Podilsky, but understand there is a very good reason why we don’t recommend car hire in Ukraine yet!

Although Jill is primarily responsible for selling the above destinations, she has also visited Moscow and St Petersburg where she inspected over 20 hotels that we use on a regular basis and has toured Eastern Turkey. Her recent travels have taken her back to Kyiv and the Crimea. She visited many sites, museums and inspected all the hotels we feature - and under strict instructions from Andrea took many photos of the hotels and their rooms. Although quite what we are going to do with the 20 or so photos of bathrooms and toilets, she took, we don't know. But if you are going to Ukraine and want to see an image of the bathrooms in your hotel, then please contact us!

Recently Jill's travels have taken her to Turkmenistan, where she tour led our second group tour there, as well as a trip on board the Russian river cruise between Moscow and St Petersburg so her knowledge of this cruise and hotels are bang up to date!
