A visit to the former home of Kaysone Phomvihane, the lead figure in Laotian politics from 1955 – 1992 is fascinating. In the suburbs of Vientiane this humble home, a bungalow on an old US military complex, is a great contrast to the luxuries that many world leaders enjoy, and gives a great insight into the little-known history of Laos.

China & Indo China Holidays

China is a heady mixture of sights, sounds and smells. So many diverse nationalities, landscapes and cultures make up this land steeped in mystery and legends. Each visit will leave you wanting to discover more. High-rise buildings, shopping malls, highways crossing city streets crammed with cars and Macdonalds. China is a beautiful country, but it can also be a daunting place to travel independently. We are thrilled to offer you our latest selection of cultural and adventurous tours, with off-the-beaten track itineraries, meticulously planned to give you the best holiday experience. Hike through the shimmering terraced hills of Guilin, visit remote Tibetan villages and share a meal with a local family, cycle through the alleyways of 'Old Beijing' and learn calligraphy from the masters.

Indo China is the name collectively used to describe Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. We can tailor-make an itinerary to suit your budget and interest. We've specialised in the region since the 80's and our tours manager has spent a year travelling around the region so can offer advice about getting the best from your holiday.

As a destination Myanmar offers the authentic sights and sounds of Asia with great natural scenery, magnificent archaeological sites, stunning pagoda and temple architecture, colourful bustling markets, impressive colonial buildings and a very friendly, hospitable population. The Burmese language has no word for ‘tourist’, just ‘guest’.
