1. Riga Sightseeing tour - guided tour of the Old Town and tracing 800 years of history, including visit to Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, St. Peter's Church, the Large and the Small Guild House, the Powder Tower and the Freedom Monument and the Museum of History of Riga and Navigation (entrance).

2. Fine Arts and Art Nouveau - guided tour of the Museum of Fine Arts (entrance) and visit to the Art Nouveau streets

3. Musical life in Riga - guided tour of the Old Town tracing musical life in Riga, including organ recital in St. John's Church

Festival events from £25 per person

Wednesday 14th July 06 "Behind the curtains" 16:30 - 17:30 Welcome reception in the Latvian National Opera House, including "Behind the curtains" tour and musical surprise, Riga "champagne" and canapés in one of the reception halls

Thursday 15th August 06 "Latvian folklore" 10:00 - 13:00 Guided tour to the Ethnographical Open Air Museum, including welcome by folklore dance group, Latvian snacks and drinks served on one of the country yards. Two horse carriages will be ready to drive the guests around the museum.

Friday 16th September 06 "Tracing Baroque music" 10:00 - 16:00 Excursion to the baroque Rundale Palace, guided tour of the palace with master of ceremonies dressed accordingly and baroque music concert in the "Marble Hall", lunch at the palace

Saturday 17th October 06 "Medieval adventure in Sigulda" 10:00 - 16:00 Excursion to the Gauja National Park including visit to the ruins of Turaida and Sigulda Castle, to the tombstone of "Rose of Turaida" and Cutman cave. Medieval dance performance on the ruins of the Sigulda Castle, the guests are involved into the medieval dances and games.

Sunday 18th November 06 "Farewell Jazz cruise" 10:00 - 13:00 Panoramic cruise on Daugava river from Riga to Jurmala, a resort city with unique wooden architecture. Snacks and drinks are served on board. Jazz band is entertaining the guests during the trip. The trip is followed by Jurmala sightseeing tour and stroll on the beach.

HOTEL KONVENTA SETA

This unique three-star hotel comprising of 9 medieval buildings is centrally located in the Old Town of Riga. There are 141 simply decorated rooms and apartments, although some rooms have shower only. Facilities include a restaurant and bar.


HOTEL GUTENBERGS

A charming three-star plus hotel located in historic building next to the Dome Cathedral. Rooms are bright, spacious and elegantly furnished. Each floor is dedicated to the origins of Latvian literature. The hotel has a summer terrace overlooking Old Town.


HOTEL DE ROME

The five-star Hotel De Rome is located in the heart of the city overlooking the Freedom Monument. There are 88 well-equipped rooms and facilities include a sauna, beauty centre, an excellent bar with live popular opera music and an elegant restaurant 'Otto Schwarz'.
