13 day tour featuring St petersburg, Moscow & Ekaterinburg
with a taste of the Trans-Siberian Railway from £1270
per person.
This new itinerary also offers
the chance to experience a little of the Trans-Siberian
Railway on the train from Moscow to Ekaterinburg. We
book the Ural Train, which takes the more southerly
route but stops at Vekovka, where a large glass factory
is located. On the station, there are many people selling
delicious local berries, as well as glassware products
from huge chandeliers to shot glass sets. We also include
sightseeing tours of the must-sees in Ekaterinburg to
help you make the most of your visit.

Fly with Czech Airlines via Prague to St Petersburg,
transfer to hotel for 3 nights.

Free days in St Petersburg to explore at leisure

ST PETERSBURG
TO MOSCOW
Free day before transfer to railway station for
overnight train to Moscow. |

MOSCOW
Arrive Moscow and transfer to hotel for 3 nights.

MOSCOW TO EKATERINBURG

for Train 16 Ural to Ekaterinburg

EKATERINBURG
On train until arrival in Ekaterinburg at 19:45,
transfer to hotel for 4 nights. |

Day 10
|
EKATERINBURG
Morning city tour of Ekaterinburg (3 hours), including
Prospect Lenina, the Hill of Ascension, Soviet
Army Square, Square of the 1905 Revolution and
the Ural State Technical University. The tour
will end at one of the local museums. Rest of
day free to explore at leisure.

| Day 11 |
EKATERINBURG
A day excursion (5-6 hours) combining a visit
to the burial place of the Romanovs and
the Obelisk that marks the border between Europe
and Asia. We also include a light lunch. First
a moving visit is made to the place, where the
remains of the Tsars family were found.
Here in 2000, several beautiful wooden Russian
churches were built.
After lunch, continue to the Obelisk. It is one
of the most famous and frequently visited places
of the Ural region. You can put one foot in Europe
and another one in Asia and take some unique photographs.
En route, you will visit a memorial complex, which
was set up in 1995 in honour of the victims of
Stalin's repression.

EKATERINBURG
Today you will visit Koptelovo Village, which is
located 130km from Ekaterinburg. This old and beautiful
Siberian village was founded in the 17th century
and has a rich history. People who live in the village
still stick to their old traditions. You will see
a Russian house, called an izba. Your
guide will tell you how people lived, what they
ate, how they worked, how they spent their leisure
time and how they live now. You will visit one of
the museums, containing many antiquities and facts
about the history and old traditions of the village.
Lunch with local food and drinks is included. |

SUITE, EKATERINBURG
A new small private hotel is located on the main
street Prospekt Lenina, near the Ural Technical
University. The hotel has 23 rooms of various categories,
the rooms and reception are located on the fifth
floor of the building, but the hotel has its own
entrance. The standard rooms have TV, refrigerator
and en-suite bathroom. The hotel also has a small
café serving breakfast.
HOTEL PARK INN, EKATERINBURG
Newly opened in February 2006 and part of the
Rezidor SAS group, this excellent, friendly three-star
hotel is centrally located. There are 160 modern,
newly designed rooms with wireless internet connection,
LCD TV, air-conditioning, in-room safe and hairdryer.
Facilities include a restaurant offering a very
reasonably priced set lunch, lobby bar and small
business centre. The hotel has excellent buffet
breakfasts.
