Group Itinerary
|
| Day 1 |
Upon arrival at Seoul's
Incheon International Airport you will be met and
transferred by a private vehicle to the Itaewon
Hotel, where you will stay for the next two nights.
After check in enjoy the rest of the day free at
your leisure. |
| Day 2 |
After breakfast commence a tour of Seoul.
Today's highlights will include the Gyeongbok Palace,
the National Folk Museum and Seoul Tower (from where
you will be afforded a birds-eye view of the city).
The tour will end at approximately 1500 and you
will have the rest of the day at your leisure free
in Seoul. |
| Day 3 |
Today depart Seoul and transfer to
the Korean Folk Village, which is home to traditional
18-19th houses. From here proceed to Songnisan
National Park and the Beopjusa Temple. The
night will be spent at the Lakehill Hotel. |
| Day 4 |
On departing the hotel transfer to Gyeongju,
where upon arrival an afternoon tour will take
place. Highlights include the Chomsongdae Astronomic
Observatory, Royal Tumuli Park and Bulguksa Temple.
The next two nights will be spent in the Kolon
Hotel.

| Day 5 |
Today continue a tour of Gyeongju,
visiting Seogguram Grotto, the 4 Face Buddha,
Gwaeneung Royal Tomb, and Guryongpo Port. In the
afternoon a scenic driving excursion will be taken
along the coast.

| Day 6 |
This morning depart Gyeongju and make the journey
to the Unmoonsa Temple
(a Female Monk's Temple). From here proceed to
Busan, where you will enjoy a city tour
to include Busan Tower, Jagalchi Fish Market and
Nampodong Street. The night will be spent at the
Busan Tourist Hotel.

| Day 7 |
This morning depart Busan and head to Gayasan
National Park, where you will visit the
Haeinsa Temple. The Temple is home to one of Korea's
chief national treasures, the Tripikata Koreana,
made to protect Korea with the will of the Buddha's
powers from Mongolian troops. From here proceed
to Andong and Hahoe
village, a well preserved traditional village,
which was visited by Queen Elizabeth the 2nd in
1999. Later proceed to Chungju
Lake, where the night will be spent at
the Cheongpung Lake and Hill Resort Hotel.

Day 8
|
This morning enjoy a Sightseeing boat trip on
Chungju Lake before
transferring, via Gangneung,
to Seorak. In Gangneung
visit the Chamsori Gramophone and Audio Museum.
From here proceed to Mt. Seorak, where you will
stay in the Samhwasa Temple.
Upon arrival at the temple you will be given clothes
to wear during your stay, and be given an orientation
into temple life and customs for your stay. In
the evening attend a bell-ringing ceremony and
enjoy chanting mass and a course in meditation.

| Day 9 |
An optional early (3AM) wake up today for morning
mass and the chance to view the sunrise over the
East Coast. After breakfast transfer to the Border
Unification Observatory for views into
North Korea. From here return to Mt.
Seorak National Park and take a cable car
to Gwonkeumsansung
and visit the Shinheungsa Temple. Here you can
relax in hot springs or swim at the Waterpia Spa
Park. The night will be spent at the Kensington
Hotel.

| Day 10 |
After breakfast transfer to Gapyeong
to visit the Morning Calm Flower and Tree Park*,
which displays and homes unique Korean wild flowers
and trees in a garden located in an attractive mountain
valley. From here transfer to Seoul
and visit Itaewon Street for an opportunity for
shopping before tomorrow's departure. Tonight you
will stay at the Itaewon Hotel. *( For tours in
Jan, Feb, March, April, Nov and Dec, visit Yangpyeong
Film Studio instead of the Morning Calm Flower and
Tree Park as the flowers are not in bloom.) |
| Day 11 |
Depart Seoul. After
breakfast check out of your hotel. No departure
transfer is provided, but these can be booked if
required. |
