Hotel Hubert is a four-star property
located in Gerlachov, at the base of Slovakia's highest
peak, Gerlach, surrounded by the spectacular High Tatras.
The hotel is situated about 1 km from Tatranksa Polianka
(the nearest village) and it takes around 15-20 minutes
to drive from Poprad.
Accommodation is in 7 Apartment Suites (three of which
are two-storey Luxury Suites), 30 Double Rooms and 2 Single
Rooms
There is also a restaurant, which specialises in game and
has an excellent open grill! They also serve bryndzové
halušky (delicious Slovak sheep's cheese dumplings!)
There is also a cozy café with a fireplace, and
a wine bar including a shop with wine-tasting. The wine-bar
boasts some seventy wines from six regions in Slovakia!
The pride of the hotel is the Hunter's Room ("Polovnicky
salonik"), with capacity of 20.
The Relax Centre is beautiful with a pool (adjustable current
and whirlpool), weight machines, solarium, sauna and steam
bath. Massage, cosmetic and hairdressers are also available.
The hotel has a library which holds over 300 volumes, and
sells a number of foreign and domestic periodicals.
You can also catch a trout in their well-stocked fish pond,
and then have it prepared according to your wishes! There
is also a covered outdoor fireplace, complete with grill.
If you wish to go walking in the mountains etc. you can
order picnic lunches from the hotel. There is also a bicycle
rental service in the hotel. Tennis courts with composite
surface are located next to the hotel. Nearby, horse-riding
and pony-riding are available.
Children enjoy the playground, which includes a wooden
castle, climbers, swings and slides, a sandbox, outdoor
chess and Russian bowling. The hotel makes for an excellent
starting point for hiking and cycling tours, and for cross-country
skiing. Not far away, Strbske Pleso and Lopusna dolina have
excellent winter sporting activities.
Flights are with Sky Europe, an excellent low cost carrier
from London Stansted to Bratislava direct.
