Tour Itinerary

DAY 1
FLY TO TBILISI

Fly to Tbilisi on an overnight flight with Georgian Airways (flights operate Mon, Wed, Sat only). 

DAY 2

Land early morning and transfer to the Kisi Hotel. Check in for 3 nights and enjoy the rest of the morning at leisure. This afternoon head out on a walking tour with your guide. Walk through the old town, passing the Sulfur Bathhouse  and slowly meander past the key Old Town sites towards Liberty Square. Continue your tour with a walk along Rustaveli Avenue, heading past the exteriors of the Georgian National Museum, Parliament Of Georgia, Kashueti Church and the Opera & Ballet Theatre. Walk through Rike Park and ascend by cable car to the Narikala Fortress for a good view over Tbilisi’s Old Town. Descend on foot from Narikala and walk back to the Kisi Hotel. (B)

DAY 3

Awake in the old and eclectic city of Tbilisi - whose name derives from 'tbili' (warm) referring to the 30 hot springs on the north-eastern slopes of Mount Tabori. Walk through its bustling tree-lined streets at your own pace, see beautiful mosques and orthodox churches and visit its compact old town. (B)

DAY 4
TBILISI TO BATUMI BY TRAIN
TBILISI TO BATUMI BY TRAIN

Free day to explore at leisure the city further. Late afternoon transfer to the train station and jump onboard the train to Batumi. On arrival, transfer to the World Palace Hotel and check-in for four nights. (B)

Today discover the seaside town of Batumi on Georgia's stunning Black Sea coast, located just 12 miles from the Turkish border. In the morning enjoy a walking tour to explore the city. Visits may include Piazza Square, the Church of St. Nicholas, Europe Square, Drama Theatre of Batumi, Alphabet Tower and the moving statue of Ali & Nino. (B)

Spend the day at leisure visiting the old town of Batumi - whose name derives from the Greek 'bathys limen' (deep harbour). Visit its sheltered natural harbour, take a walk along beautifully restored 19th-century architectures or opt for an optional excursion. (B)
DAY 7

BATUMI

This morning transfer to the Batumi Botanical Gardens. Established in 1912 it boasts one of the widest varieties of flora in the world. This afternoon visit the colourful market of Batumi and continue to the1st century Gonio fortress which is connected to the myth of Jason and the Argonauts. The afternoon is free in Batumi to enjoy your time at leisure. (B)

DAY 8
FLY TO THE UK

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight back to the UK. (B)
