DAY 1
FLY TO VILNIUS
Fly to Vilnius and check-in to Hotel Radisson SAS Astorija for 2 nights. Welcome meeting in hotel lobby.
DAY 2
VILNIUS
Morning sightseeing tour of Vilnius including the Cathedral of Peter and Paul, the Gothic Church of St. Anne’s and the Baroque buildings of Vilnius University. Afternoon at leisure.
OPTIONAL: Afternoon tour to the medieval capital of Trakai. This 14th century red-bricked castle, tranquilly located on an island on Lake Galve, houses a small history museum.
DAY 3
VILNIUS TO RIGA
Depart by coach to Riga with visit en route to the Hill of Crosses, (an atmospheric place of pilgrimage) and Rundale Palace, former residence of the Duke of Courland. Arrive Riga, and check-in to Reval Hotel Elizabete for 3 nights.
DAY 4
RIGA
Morning sightseeing tour of Riga with its narrow cobbled streets, 3rd-century Dome Cathedral and colourfully restored merchants’ houses. We also include a visit to Riga’s famous Art Nouveau district. Afternoon at leisure.
DAY 5
RIGA
Free day to explore Riga.
OPTIONAL: Morning sightseeing excursion to Sigulda, Latvia’s ‘Switzerland’. Here, you will visit the Turaida Museum Reserve including the 13th-century German Knight’s Castle and Gutmana Cave.
DAY 6
RIGA TO TALLINN VIA PÄRNU
Depart by coach to Tallinn with visit en route to the Ethnographical Open Air Museum, situated on the outskirts of Riga, to see traditional Latvian rural buildings. A stop is also made in Pärnu, a seaside resort on the Baltic Sea. Continue to Tallinn and check-in to Nordic Hotel Forum for 2 nights.
DAY 7
TALLINN
Morning sightseeing tour of Tallinn including the medieval Upper and
Lower Towns. Afternoon at leisure.
OPTIONAL: Afternoon excursion to Kadriorg Park and Palace, built in 1721 by Peter the Great as a gift to his wife Catherine II to use as their summer residence.
