Emma Durkin
Emma Durkin This remarkable archipelago boasts the highest sea cliffs in the world and for me venturing out in to the North Atlantic Ocean to discover a coastline teeming with birdlife and a significant breeding area for the Atlantic puffin was unforgettable. Board the Nordlysid schooner from the capital and explore caves, gaze at waterfalls pouring over the cliff edge and enjoy mouth-watering fish soup prepared by the famous Faroese skipper, Birgir Enni.
