Discover volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls, black sand beaches, erupting geysers, and spend time exploring some of the Iceland's famous National Parks. Stay in a remote countryside location offering the perfect setting to hunt for the incredible Aurora Borealis far away from city lights.

DAY 1
FLY TO REYKJAVIK
FLY TO REYKJAVIK
Arrive in Iceland and transfer from Keflavik International Airport to the Centerhotel Plaza and check in for an overnight stay. The hotel does offer a northern lights wake-up service, be sure to inform the reception staff if you would like to be woken up for any sightings.
DAY 2
GOLDEN CIRCLE
GOLDEN CIRCLE
Discover the trio of natural wonders which make up the Golden Circle. Explore the outstanding beauty of Thingvellir National Park where the forces of the Great Atlantic Rift are clearly visible and where the North American and European tectonic plates drift apart at a rate of 2-6 cm per year. Continue to Gullfoss waterfall - a double waterfall that tumbles 34 meters into a gorge in the Hvita river and spend time at the Geysir geothermal fields where the active Strokkur geyser erupts every 5 to 10 minutes. Continue to a farm which breeds horses and grows tomatoes to learn about the Icelandic horse, its history and special qualities. Drive to the town of Vik and check in to the accommodation for a two night stay. (B)
DAY 3
GLACIER LAGOON
GLACIER LAGOON
Head east, along the southern shore to Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, a natural wonderland where chunks of glacial ice tumble into the lake creating a visual spectacle of gigantic icebergs floating in the blue waters. The lagoon is filled with fish that drift in from the sea along with the tides and in the winter seals gather in large numbers at the mouth of the lagoon to catch the fish. Continue to Skaftafell National Park, part of Vatnajokull National Park. Here the landscape has considerable variety and has been formed over thousands of years by different influences of ice, fire and water. (B)
DAY 4
VOLCANOES & WATERFALLS
VOLCANOES & WATERFALLS
Travel along the south coast to the waterfalls Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss as well as the glaciers and volcanoes of Myrdalsjökull/Katla and Eyjafjallajökull. Continue to Eyjafjallajokull Visitor Centre located at the foot of the famous Eyjafjallajokull volcano and enjoy a short film (20 min) portraying the spectacular natural event and challenges met by the family farm of Thorvaldseyri. Finally end the day relaxing in the mineral-rich waters of the famous Blue Lagoon before heading back to the capital. (B)
DAY 5
FLY BACK TO THE UK
Transfer to the airport for the flight back to the UK. If you wish to extend your stay in Iceland speak to Regent Iceland Specialist. (B)
