The Gullfoss waterfall, often referred to as the 'queen of the waterfalls', is something you will never forget. We also visit the geothermal area in Haukadalur where you can see geysers erupt. Strokkur is one of the largest and most powerful geysers and Strokkur erupts almost every 10 minutes. A stop is made for lunch (optional) giving you the opportunity to walk around the bubbling mud pools and exploding geysers in the area. We will visit Nesjavellir, a high temperature geothermal area on our way to Thingvellir National Park where ‘The Althing’ parliament was founded over 1000 years ago.
