Morning arrival in Irkutsk, one of the oldest Siberian cities on the banks of the mighty Angara River. During the city tour, visit Kirov Square, the eternal flame, the Decembrist House, the “wooden lace” house, also called the “House of Europe” and the most amazing streets of the city. In the morning embark on a sightseeing tour of Vladivostok. Stroll through its historical centre and see the Monument to Fighters, located in the central square, Nikolai Arch, the Railway and the Marine station. After lunch, take an excursion to Russky Island, which was of primary military importance during the Soviet era. Its unique nature and strong fortifications, dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries, have been preserved making it an ideal place to visit for those who love military history. By 1915 there were 16 forts and 27 batteries on the island guarding the coast. Overnight stay at your hotel in Vladivostok. (B,L,D)
