Gillian Leaning
Gillian Leaning Belgrade is a great year-round destination but really comes alive during the festival season from May to August. In Vino, Belgrade's annual wine festival is held in May at the Sava Centre and was established in 2004 to celebrate the best of Serbian viticulture. The International Folk Dance and Song Festival will be held in Belgrade from 9 to 14 July 2013, and our favourite in August (14-18th Aug 2013) is the Belgrade Beer Fest, where you can taste over 30 different beers (Serbian and International), as well as listen to live music. Exit, one of Europe's largest music festivals, takes place in July in the Petrovaradin Fortress in Serbia's second city, Novi Sad, located about 85 kilometres from Belgrade.
