14 Day Itinerary

DAY 1
MOSCOW

Arrive Moscow and transfer to the Hotel Cosmos and check-in for 2 nights. Dinner at Restaurant “Kalinka”. The restaurant is open from 18:00 to 22:00. (D)

DAY 2
MOSCOW

Meet guide at Intourist Service Bureau (near the hotel reception) at 10.00 for morning sightseeing tour of Moscow including a visit to the Novodevichy Convent. Free time in the afternoon. (B) 

DAY 3
MOSCOW

Free morning until check-out at 13:00 and meet for afternoon excursion of the Kremlin including a visit to the Armoury Chamber, built in 1841 as a weapons and arms factory, which now houses Russian treasures ranging from religious icons to Fabergé eggs. Free time until meet for transfer to railway station. Depart on Train 2 to Irkutsk departing 23:45.

IRKUTSK AND LAKE BAIKAL

Arrive Irkutsk 07.30 and enjoy breakfast and sightseeing tour of Irkutsk before transfer to Listvyanka with stop for lunch and tour of Ethnographic Museum en route. Check-in to the Legend of Baikal Hotel in Listvyanka for 1 night. (B,L)

DAY 8
LAKE BAIKAL AND ULAANBAATAR

After breakfast walking tour of Listvyanka before transfer to Irkutsk Railway Station for Train 362 departing at 21:50.

ON THE TRAIN
DAY 10
ULAANBAATAR AND TERELJ NATIONAL PARK

Arrive Ulaanbaatar at 0610 and have breakfast before transfer to Terelj National Park. Terelj National Park, conveniently located an hour’s drive away from Ulaanbaatar, is famous for its beautiful natural scenery, meadows of wild flowers, pine-covered mountains and interesting rock formations like Turtle Rock. Your accommodation here will be in a traditional ger. You will learn about Mongolian nomadic life, maybe sample some traditional mare’s milk ‘airag’ or perhaps taste yak butter or cheese. There will also be an opportunity to assist in the assembling of a ger or possibly take part in an archery competition. (B,L)

DAY 11
ULAANBAATAR

Transfer back to Ulaanbaatar for city tour of Ulaanbaatar including Gandan Monastery, Museum of Natural History,Bogd Khan Winter Palace, Zaisan Hill and Sukhbaatar Square. Check-in to Hotel Edelweis for 1 night. (B,L) 

DAY 12
ON TRAIN

Transfer to railway station for train 4 to Beijing departing 08:05

DAY 13
BEIJING

Arrive Beijing at 14:04, transfer to Beijing Novotel Xin Qiao Hotel and check-in for 1 night.

DAY 14
DEPART BEIJING

Transfer to the airport for flight or we can extend your stay in Beijing and/or China.
