A 7 day tour of the Aegean
region of Turkey from Istanbul from £TBA per person
The tour takes you through ancient and
modern history and explores the natural beauty of the
Aegean region. The first day you will drive down the
Thracian Peninsula through fields, rolling hills and
forests with views of an unspoilt coastline. Visit Gallipoli
battlefields, the Kabatepe Musuem and the infamous Anzac
Cove. The whole day is dedicated to exploring the Gallipoli
National Historic Park.
After an overnight in Canakkale, with
its beautiful waterfront, drive southwards to Troy,
the legendary setting of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey and
Pergamum with its Acropolis. Enjoy a full day in Kusadasi
and continue to Pamukkale, which means 'Cotton Castle'.
The name is due to the amazing natural white travertine
pools, now part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. Ephesus
is the next enchanting site where you will get a feel
for what life was like in Roman times while walking
through the spectacular ruins.
