This group tour features the best of
western Turkey, giving you time to soak up the charming
atmosphere and the beautiful sites. The landscapes will
vary immensely from lively Istanbul to Cappadocia and
the Mediterranean flavour of the Aegean coast.
These are guaranteed departure
tours operated in conjunction with our Turkish partners
and are not exclusive to Regent Holidays’ clients.
They operate weekly departing every Friday from the
1 April to 15 November 2007.

| Day 1 |
FLY TO ISTANBUL
Fly to Istanbul and transfer to hotel for 2 nights. |
| Day 2 |
ISTANBUL
This city will surprise and enchant you with its
colours and smells of spices, the mixture of Western
and Oriental architecture and the mesmerising sounds
from the mosques. The full day city tour includes
Topkapi Palace, St. Sophia, the Hippodrome, Turkish
and Islamic Arts Museum, the Blue Mosque and the
Grand Bazaar. Lunch is included. |
| Day 3 |
ISTANBUL TO CAPPADOCIA VIA
ANKARA
Fly to Ankara and visit the Museum of Anatolian
Civilizations, a must-see for anyone interested
in Turkey’s ancient past, and the Mausoleum
of Ataturk. After lunch, drive to Cappadocia through
the countryside of central Turkey. Check-in hotel
for 2 nights. |
| Day 4 |
CAPPADOCIA
Full day tour of the natural wonders of Cappadocia
with its famous fairy-chimneys and rock formations,
stunning valleys and stone towns. The tour includes
the natural citadel of Uchisar, Goreme and Zelve
Valleys and the underground city of Kaymakli.

| Day 5 |
CAPPADOCIA TO PAMUKKALE
Depart early morning to Pamukkale. The journey
travels through desolated and beautiful steppes,
stopping at the 13th century Sultanhan Caravanserai
of Seljuks’ and Konya. Here, see the Mausoleum
of Mevlana, founder of the Whirling Dervishes
Order. Continue to the Karatay Theological School.
Lunch by the picturesque Egirdir Lake. Late afternoon
check-in hotel in Pamukkale for overnight stay.

| Day 6 |
PAMUKKALE TO KUSADASI
Visit ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the Theatre
and the Necropolis before reaching the famous
travertine pools. Continue to Kusadasi, a lively
town on the Aegean Coast, after stopping at Aphrodisias,
an ancient city dedicated to the goddess of love,
Aphrodite. Lunch en route. Check-inat hotel for
2 nights.

| Day 7 |
KUSADASI
Drive to the ruined Roman city of Ephesus, which
is one of the highlights of Turkey’s western
coast, and continue to the House of the Virgin Mary,
the Basilica of St. John and the Selcuk Archaeological
Museum. Lunch en route. |
| Day 8 |
KUSADASI TO CANAKKALE
Today is dedicated to history with an early departure
to Ancient Pergamum to visit the Acropolis and Asklepieion.
After lunch in town, you will continue to Troy with
its nine inhabitation levels covering a period of
3,000 years and the huge – and far more recent
– wooden horse! Check-in hotel for overnight
stay. |

CANAKKALE TO ISTANBUL
Cross the Dardanelles by ferry and visit the Anzac
Bay and the Memorials of Gallipoli on the Gallipoli
Peninsula - a verdant area where the road follows
the coast and offers stunning views of the bays
and coves. Drive to Istanbul and check-in hotel
for overnight stay. |

FLY TO UK
Free morning depending on time of flight and transfer
to airport for flight back to the UK. |
