Climb aboard of a luxurious expedition ship, the M/V Sea Spirit, to journey through some of the Arctic’s most exciting and striking natural environments. Spending days gently slipping through staggering iceberg-filled fjords, including Greenland’s famous Disko Bay.

Arrive in Kangerlussuaq and take a short flight to Nuuk, the capital and largest city of Greenland. On arrival climb aboard the luxury expedition ship M/VSea Spirit. (D)

SISIMIUT
SISIMIUT
Explore Nuuk fjord and visit Sisimiut; the second-largest town in Greenland boasts a youthful, urban feel and is also is known for adventure sports, especially dog sledding. The Sisimiut Museum offers insight into the local culture and a history of human habitation dating back 4,500 years. (B,L,D)

QEQERTARSUAQ
QEQERTARSUAQ
Today set off for Disko Island and reach Qeqertarsuaq – the volcanic island’s only settlement. This small town’s perfect location spoils visitors with stunning views of basaltic mountains and the huge icebergs of Disko Bay. Founded in 1773 as a whaling station, Qeqertarsuaq is one of the oldest towns in Greenland and one of the most famous tourist attractions here is a distinctive octagonal church called the “Lord’s Ink Pot”. EQIP SERMIA GLACIER
Approach the beautiful Eqip Sermia Glacier, a vast active tidewater glacier sat in a wild fjord, once the starting point for expeditions to the ice cap. (B,L,D)

ILULISSAT
ILULISSAT
Formerly named Jakobshavn, the town of Ilulissat is a must-see for seafaring travellers, as staggering numbers of icebergs drift through the waters. They arrive from the nearby Ilulissat Icefjord, into which one of the world’s fastest moving and most active glaciers calves 46 cubic kilometers of ice each year. Explore the town – the Inuit Art Museum is a fascinating visit and contains a large collection of paintings by Greenlandic, Faroese, and Danish artists. (B,L,D)

FLY TO THE UK

Disembark in Nuuk, take a short flight to Kangerlussuaq and transfer to airport for your flight back to the UK. (B)

M/V Sea Spirit

The ice-strengthened small all-suite expedition ship Sea Spirit (originally Renaissance V) was built in 1991 in Italy. From that time she has changed several operators and regions of navigation, cruising in Singapore, Alaska, Pacific Basin, Arctic and Antarctica. The vessel was modified in late 2010.

Providing spacious suites for accommodation of maximum of 114 passengers (the smallest suite is 20 sq. meters) the Sea Spirit at the same time features maneuverability and friendly atmosphere of small ships. All suites have private facilities and exterior views. Some of the suites feature private balconies for enjoying fantastic landscapes of the Arctic.
