Travel to the far north of Finnish Lapland and explore the remote region of Torassieppi by husky-sled, reindeer sleigh and snowmobile on this fully inclusive short break. On the final evening spend a night camping under the starry winter sky. This, of course, is no ordinary camping experience – luxury thermal tents provide a cosy base from which to lie back and watch for the incredible aurora.
Arrival at Kittila airport and transfer to Torassieppi. Check in to your accommodation for 3 nights - a Log Cabin with private sauna. Enjoy an organic local dinner at the hotel's restaurant. (D)
Visit a reindeer farm and have a chance to meet and feed the reindeer, learn the lasso throw and learn more about the life of the reindeer in the small museum. After a 3km reindeer safari through the forest relax by the fire in a kota. After a lesson in how to cross country skiing test your new skills on a scenic route through the forest. After breakfast enjoy free time to explore the local area. After lunch meet the guide and head on over to Torassieppi husky farm, before embarking on a 17km husky safari (2 people per husky team). After dinner in the hotel restaurant strap on your snow shoes and head on out in search of the Northern Lights (B,L,D)
Free day to book additional winter activities - perhaps enjoy a stroll around the Winter Village with its impressive snow rooms, ice bar and restaurant. In the afternoon check in to an Aurora Dome for the final night. Each igloo-shaped tent has a north-facing transparent side to ensure the best possible view of the starlit sky and ever-elusive northern lights. Light the log burner and snuggle under the blankets for a unique night of cosy glamping. (B,L,D)
