This itinerary is perfect for first time visitors to Ukraine. Explore architectural treasures in the capital, wander the cobblestone streets in Lviv and delve into Odessa’s rich maritime history.
Although controversial, the Monument to the Friendship of Nations is still a popular sight to visit, probably due to the fact its location offers a wonderful view of the city and Dnipro River. From here follow the footbridge to Trukhaniv Island where cafés, restaurants and the city’s beaches can be found. (B)
Perhaps consider taking a day trip from Kyiv and gain an insight into the Chernobyl story from past to present and learn about the massive nuclear disaster that rocked the Soviet Union and the world in April 1986. Speak to a Regent Ukraine Specialist about booking this trip in advance. (B)
Morning transfer from the hotel to the train station in Kyiv and board the day train to Lviv. On arrival in Lviv and transfer to the hotel for three nights. (B)

Be sure to visit the handmade chocolate shop. Keep a look out for its large glass windows which offer a fantastic view of the in-store chocolate factory. (B)
Arrive in Odessa and check in to the hotel for three nights. In this laid-back town, the famous Potemkin Steps lead down to the Black Sea and Ukraine’s biggest commercial port. (B)

We have just returned from our very enjoyable holiday in Ukraine and would like to thank Christina Gibbons for making all the arrangements. The planning, booking arrangements and ticketing could not have been easier. We appreciated having our train tickets delivered to our hotel, thus avoiding the usual queues in the railway station. All transfers worked to perfection and the drivers were friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable trip and would certainly recommend Regent Holidays to others.
