East Greenland Arctic Winter Wilderness

Travel in the winter to the gateway to East Greenland - Kulusuk. This short break to East Greenland complete with daily excursions is a wonderful way to experience winter in Greenland at its best.

Tour Itinerary

Fly from Reykjavik's domestic airport to Kulusuk and transfer to Hotel Kulusuk for 3 night stay. In the afternoon attend a welcome meeting, where a local guide will go over the programme. (L,D)
Today transfer by jeep to Kulusuk village (a few minutes drive) for a guided walk of the settlement. Return by dogsled along the coast. In the afternoon go by dog sled across the sea ice to Apusiaajik Glacier and enjoy a warm drink before continuing on to Ammassalik Fjord for spectacular panoramic views. (B,L,D)
Full day dogsled around Kulusuk area. (B,L,D)
Free morning before transfer to the airport for the flight back to Reykjavik, Iceland. (B)
