Travel to Indochina on this group tour and discover Vietnam and Cambodia, two countries boasting colourful cities, friendly locals and fascinating architecture. Journey from Hanoi, with its wide French colonial boulevards and labyrinthine back streets to the limestone karst formations of Halong Bay. Continue south to the historic city of Hue located on the Perfume River before driving over the Hai Van Pass to the ancient merchant port of Hoi An with its sweeping beach and pretty night markets bedecked with many colourful lanterns. Discover Ho Chi Minh City, the bustling, metropolitan heart of the country with lively nightlife and busy streets before journeying to Cambodia to explore the capital Phnom Penh and iconic Angkor Wat.

Land Hanoi and transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free at leisure to explore the city.

This morning, enjoy a captivating half day city tour of Hanoi. Visits include Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and his wooden stilted house, the famous One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature and the bustling Old Quarter. The afternoon is free at leisure, ask a Regent Travel Specialist about adding one of the optional excursions. (B)

DAY 4
HALONG BAY
HALONG BAY

Drive 170 km to Vietnam's most spectacular natural wonder, Halong Bay. Board a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise through the limestone cliffs and the famous emerald waters. Enjoy a seafood lunch as well as a swim (weather permitting). Overnight under the stars on the Junk. (B,L,D)

DAY 5
HALONG BAY TO HUE
HALONG BAY TO HUE

Spend this morning cruising through the waters of the Bay. Brunch will be served on board before returning to Hanoi in the afternoon. Transfer to Hanoi railway station for the overnight train to Hue (1st class berth, 4-person shared cabin). Overnight onboard. (B)

HUE
Arrive in Hue railway station and drive to the hotel. Enjoy lunch with some local specialties in a local restaurant before heading out on a half-day tour of the Hue Citadel and Royal Antique Museum. (L)

This morning enjoy a boat trip on the Huong River and discover Thien Mu Pagoda. In the afternoon drive to Hoi An and explore this historic merchant town. Highlights include the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall and an ancient merchant house. Stroll the vibrant riverside market which is be-decked with many colourful lanterns. (B)
DAY 8
HOI AN TO HO CHI MINH CITY (SAIGON)

This morning is at leisure, speak to a Regent Travel Specialist about optional excursions. This afternoon transfer to Da Nang airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival transfer to the hotel for 2 nights. The afternoon is free at leisure. (B)
DAY 9
HO CHI MINH CITY
HO CHI MINH CITY

Spend the morning exploring the city on a half-day tour. Visits include the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the General Post Office, Chinatown and bustling Binh Tay market. There will also be a visit to either Thien Hau Temple or Quan Am Pagoda. The afternoon is at leisure to relax to enjoy some last minute shopping or  one of the optional excursions in the city. (B)

DAY 10
HO CHI MINH CITY TO PHNOM PENH

An early start today. You will be transferred to the bus station for the journey into Cambodia ending at Phnom Penh. The remainder of the day is free at leisure, why not take a stroll along the riverside promenade? Overnight Phnom Penh. (B)

DAY 11

This morning join others for a group tour of the city. Explore the stunning Royal Palace complex with its pristine gardens and gleaming spires. Visit the Throne Hall and pass by the Napoleon III Pavilion which was a gift from the French Emperor in the 19th century. Continue to the Silver Pagoda which houses some of the country's most treasured relics including a life-sized gold diamond-studded Buddha. Visit the interesting National Museum which houses the worlds best collection of Angkor period sculptures. After the tour board the local bus for a journey to Siem Reap. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. The evening is at leisure. (B)

DAY 12
SIEM REAP
SIEM REAP
Embark on a day tour full of splendid temples. Enter the famous Angkor complex via the Southern Gate and explore the Royal Palace, the Bayon, the Elephant Terrace and the Leper King Terrace. In the afternoon visit Ta Prohm Temple and end the day at magnificent Angkor Wat with a spectacular sunset over the monuments. Overnight Siem Reap. (B)
