The M/S Volga Dream is one of our favourite ways to explore the Russian countryside and the treasures of Russia’s grandest cities.
Newly rebuilt in 2007, M/S Volga Dream is the first luxury cruise ship of its kind on the Russian waterways. The ship carries 109 passengers and approximately 60 staff to cater to your needs.
With numerous facilities on board, the Volga Dream offers you the chance to enjoy a relaxing tour of Russia. Enjoy a meal in the on board restaurant which serves both Continental and Russian cuisine. Try a cocktail in the Neva Lounge and bar while enjoying live music, purchase those travel essentials from the ship's boutique, visit the library complete with Internet access, or relax in the onboard sauna after a workout in the fitness centre. With a 24 hour tea and coffee station you can enjoy a warm beverage while watching the scenery at the same time. The Volga Dream has 56 comfortable cabins. Each stateroom has either a window (Sun Deck, Promenade Deck, Main Deck) or porthole (standard staterooms on Cabin Deck). Cabins are equipped with air conditioning, mini bar, safe, telephone and flat screen satellite television.
Begin by exploring the classic sights of the capital, including visiting the Armoury Museum in the Kremlin, admiring the impressive St Basils Cathedral, shopping in GUM and taking in the vast Red Square. On your way to St Petersburg discover the oldest city on the Volga, Yaroslavl, before touring the cupola-crowned chuches of Kizhi and experiencing rural Russian life at Mandrogi village.
Discover first hand just why St Petersburg is famed as Russia's capital of grand, palaces and ornate estates, visiting St Catherine's Palace, the Hermitage and the Church of Spilled Blood. Board the MS Volga Dream to reach Moscow, slipping past the Cathedral of the Resurrection and St. John's Church at Uglich, sail on the White Lake at Goritsy and wander Mandrogi village.
