Ounasvaaran Lakituvat Log Cabins

Straddling the Arctic Circle, Ounasvaaran Lakituvat’s cosy wooden chalets are located on top of the Ounasvaara Fell in Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland in northern Finland. The chalet apartments measure 67m² and have 2 bedrooms each with twin beds plus a mezzanine floor with another twin room, two bathrooms, a modern and fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room and even a sauna.

The fireplace is always stocked with firewood, each cabin enjoys free WiFi, TV and Radio with CD player. There is a supermarket within walking distance. Ounasvaara is a renowned sports centre with almost 50 different activities available. In the winter, Ski slopes are only 200 metres away and the chalets sit near a range of cross country ski tracks. Tobogganing and snowshoeing are also available. Dash through the frozen Finnish landscape on a snowmobile or embark on a husky or reindeer safari.

During the summer months, river rafting, summer bob sleigh and downhill biking are available and it is possible to play golf at any hour as the midnight sun keeps the sky illuminated. A network of hiking trails are open year-round and horseback riding is available from nearby stables – in winter opt for a sledge ride pulled by horse or reindeer.
