ARIRANG FESTIVAL
The Arirang Festival has been confirmed to operate from the 4th of August to the
end of September. The dates are often changed as the festival draws closer, but
booking onto any of our August or September departures will maximise a visitors
chances of attending a performance.
The "Arirang
Grand Mass Gymnastics And Artistic Performance" is a show of truly epic proportions
and is hailed by some as the "greatest show on Earth." The show will
have approximately 100,000 performers and is an unforgettable show of fantastic
performances based around the nations history, development, leadership, future
and desire for reunification with the South. Made up of many sections of society
from workers and students to children and the military, the varied themes and
acts are mind-blowing in their size and precision, down to the finest detail.
We are now well into the busy booking
season for North Korea. Most of our tours still have availability, but please
note that the 12th September departure of our Ultimate North Korea Tour is now
fully booked. We also have very limited spaces on our Classic North Tour commencing
on the 25th July.
AIR CHINA:
Air China have now commenced flights between Beijing and Pyongyang, flying three
times a week in each direction on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Regent Holidays
can of course book these flights and are already putting together independent
itineraries utilising this new route. All non-group departures in 2008 can be
adapted to use these air China flights, giving more possibilities with travel
dates. Please contact us for further details.

About
Our Tours:
Our tours to North
Korea include all meals, transport and accommodation within the country, and visitors
can generally choose at the end of their tour whether they wish to return to Beijing
by air or train. In addition, we include the North Korean Visa fee, one night's
accommodation in Beijing prior to departure and transfers between the airport
and hotel in Beijing before the group departs to Korea.
We
can also arrange extended itineraries in China and travel to South Korea and elsewhere
in Asia at the beginning or end of our tours. As an ATOL holder we can also book
your international air tickets from the UK to China, and onward air, train and
ferry tickets to other destinations in Asia and beyond at highly competitive rates
with numerous airlines. It is also possible to depart Korea on the train to Moscow,
an unusual alternative to the Trans-Siberian train route!
Unlike
the few other companies arranging tours to North Korea, our group tours are always
of a limited size, and in 2008 our Group Tours will have no more than 12 persons
in each group.
We can arrange visits
to North Korea for all nationalities except for US and South Korean passport holders.
In addition, journalists or photographers may not enter North Korea as tourists.
Due to the timescale in arranging visits to North Korea we usually stop taking
bookings on our group tours 2 months prior to the departure date, so ask for those
interested to book early to avoid disappointment.
Visiting
North Korea can seem a little expensive, but please remember that the tour is
fully inclusive (you will only need money for beverages and souvenirs).
Should
a group tour not appeal we can also cater to private, school and special interest
groups.
