Tour Itinerary
Fly to Kittilä Airport in Finnish Lapland and transfer to Jeris Lakeside Resort located approximately one hour away in the village of Muonio. Collect warm winter clothing for the adventure ahead and check into your hotel room or cabin. Dinner is served in the hotel restaurant. (D)
After breakfast, visit a 100-years-old unique Lappish farmhouse and a reindeer museum. Test your reindeer herder skills by throwing a lasso and then driving a 3-km round in the forest with a reindeer sled next to Pallas Ylläs National Park. (B,L,D)
Today reach a husky farm to meet the adorable huskies and set off on a 15-km sled safari through the stunning Lappish wilderness. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner served in a traditional 'kota' with open fire. After dinner, listen to a local Sami singing his own special songs and learn more about the stories that lie behind the rhythms and melodies of the traditional Sámi songs. (B,L,D)
Experience a thrilling snowmobile ride through the Lappish wilderness. Follow the guide through snow-covered forests to a nearby lake and learn the techniques of the ancient net fishing. (B,L,D)
Spend the day relaxing at your hotel exploring its surroundings. In the evening, head out into the night for an aurora snow shuttle ride through the silent winter landscape. If you're lucky, the northern lights will light up the sky above you as you cook some sausages over the fire. (B,L,D)
This morning, embark on a snowshoe walk through the stunning scenery of Pallas Fell. After lunch, reach Arctic Sauna World and experience four different styles of saunas and winter swimming. (B,L,D)
