Bratislava City Breaks
Compared to other European capital cities, Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia may at first appear relatively unimpressive. However, dig a little deeper and you will find that Bratislava’s old town is simply rich in culture and an ideal choice for a short break. The city has elegant buildings, churches, cathedrals and fine restaurants that rival any in Europe. What’s more, these days, Bratislava has got a real buzz about it - a cosmopolitan city with an exciting ambiance awaits you!.
Start a visit at the Castle and look down on the Old Town before exploring its streets. Relax in Main Square and then visit St Martins' Cathedral and Michael's Gate. Do not miss the Clock Museum or the Technical Museum, which shows the history of Skoda cars. Make sure you return to Main Square in the evening for the daily laser beam show.

Regent Recommends...Bratislava's Xmas Markets
Bratislava’s Xmas markets take place in the city from late November to late December - see Bratislava's Christmas tree lights with hundreds of stall holders set up in the main square Hlavne Namestie and Hviezdoslavovo Square in the Old Town, right up until Christmas Eve. The accent is on traditional Slovak food, drinks, crafts and gifts, with stalls open from 10am to 10pm, to maximise shopping time.
Bratislava is an ideal year-round city break destination
Bratislava is a great year round city break destination. Bratislava for Everybody Festival usually held in the third week of April, features free entry to galleries, music and theatre events, throughout the city. There is also a Classical Music Festival held late September to early October at various venues. Of course our favourite is the Christmas Market, held at the end of November to the end of December.
