Holidays
in Central Asia- Tour Itineraries
An 10 day extensive tour of
Turkmenistan from £795 per person
Possibly the most reclusive of the Central
Asian States, Turkmenistan is a large desert nation
whose future is tied with the vast oil and gas reserves
it holds. In the years since independence tourism has
been largely overlooked and it remains the most bureaucratic
of the Central Asian states. For those who make the
journey however, they will be afforded a glimpse at
a fascinating country which receives very few visitors.
The old and new sights of Ashgabat
such as the Nissa Fortress and the golden statue of
Turkmenistan's president, Niyazov (aka Turkmenbashi,
Father of the Turkmen People) are a fascinating start
to a trip which will introduce the beautiful landscapes,
villages and people of this little known nation.
