Remnants of socialism can be seen all over Ulaanbaatar, from its tower blocks and grid system to the main square and the odd neo-classical public buildings. Whilst the city is changing at a momentous pace statues of Lenin and Choibalsan still stand. Stalin however has been moved from the front of the National Library to dominate the interior of a nightclub – how times have changed.
