Krakow City Breaks
As the cultural capital of Poland, Krakow never suffers a shortage of exhibitions, arts, concerts and theatrical performances. The Market Square is the largest medieval Square in Europe and the Cloth Hall is an excellent starting point for souvenir shopping. To escape the crowds, head for Kazimierz district for ulta cool cafes and nightclubs.

Regent Recommends...
Bring out the Miss Marple deep within you and take to the streets of Krakow for a Criminal Tour of the dark side of the city. Trace the footsteps of murderers, hear about the hidden criminal tendencies of Krakow's monasteries, find out what happened to Da Vinci's paintings in World War II and reveal the name of the city's most notorious mass murderer.
When to go...
Krakow being the cultural capital of Poland always has something interesting going on, which makes it an ideal city break destination. Since we love food here at Regent Holidays, our particular favourite festivals are the International Soup Festival, where the main tasting takes place on Plac Nowy in Kazimierz during May. For a taste of Polish cuisine don't miss the Pierogi (Dumplings) Festival held in August and now in its 8th year. Don't miss the Christmas Market in Krakow, where Market Square comes alive with rows of brightly coloured decorated wooden huts selling Polish handicrafts, hot snacks and warm drinks, such as mulled wine.
