Split is the largest city on the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia and is now listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is a city of great historical and cultural interest that successfully blends the old and the new. At the heart of the city, closed in by houses and the harbour, lies a crumbling old town built within the Diocletian's Palace, one of the most spectacular classical remains in Europe.

These days Split is a lively bustling city of attractive old squares, outdoor cafés, restaurants, shops and stalls. The city is an ideal base for tours and excursions of the Makarska region and to the islands of Hvar and Brac.

Regent recommends... visiting the picturesque town of Trogir, located 27 kilometres from Split. The Old Town is located on a small island reached by a stone bridge and is a wonderful place to explore with its churches, squares and stone passageways. The gorgeous palm tree-lined promenade has many cafés, an ideal place to relax over a glass of chilled local white wine and watch the world go by..

This hotel has an excellent location in the centre of Split. The hotel has 2 wings - the standard rooms are in the older wing.

These standard rooms are on the small size and are contemporary with air-conditioning, mini-bar and satellite TV. The hotel also has a restaurant and cocktail bar.

Hotel Park

A lovely four-star hotel within walking distance from the Old Town via a promenade and close to Bacvice Beach.

Rooms are on the small size but elegantly decorated and have air-conditioning. The hotel has a bank, a lovely restaurant and sun terrace. There is also a cocktail bar with live classical music in evenings.
