This adventure holiday explores two different regions of the island of Borneo, the Nation of Brunei and the Sabah district of Malaysian Borneo. Brunei is often overlooked over its larger neighbours but definitely merits a visit. Starting in Bandar Seri Begawan, the quiet moneyed capital of this oil-rich nation which is resplendent with a host of stunning temples, travel to Ulu Temburong National Park with its wild and rugged rainforest. Take a traditional longboat down the Temburong River, experience sunset from the treetop canopy walkway and enjoy swimming in the cool waters of the Sungai Apai waterfall.
From Brunei head to Sabah and enjoy visits to Kinabalu Park in search of native flora and fauna, witness the orangutan feeding at Sepilok and take cruises down the Kinabatangan River to search for proboscis monkeys and other river wildlife. Finally head to the white-sand beach of tiny Gaya Island, a beautiful place to relax at the end of a busyand exciting trip.
