Faroe Islands Explorer Fly-Drive

8 Day Tour, from £2095 per person

Discover the Faroe Islands at your own pace on this 8-day fly-drive, travelling from Vágar to the dramatic northern islands, with stays in Gjógv, Klaksvík and Tórshavn along the way. Mountain roads, tiny coastal villages, waterfalls and sweeping Atlantic views make the driving every bit as memorable as the places you stop to explore.

Spend time on Eysturoy, where colourful Gjógv sits beside its natural gorge, before continuing north to Klaksvík and the islands of Borðoy, Kunoy and Kalsoy. Walk beneath some of the Faroes' highest mountains, discover remote settlements such as Viðareiði and cross remarkable subsea tunnels linking communities once separated by the sea.

Finish in Tórshavn,, exploring the historic lanes of Tinganes and á Reyni, with time for Kirkjubøur and an optional trip to Nólsoy. We've suggested our favourite routes and stops along the way, but the freedom of having your own car means you can linger over a view, change plans with the weather or simply see where the road takes you.
