Reykjabod Hot Springs

Opened in September 2026, Reykjabod is a new geothermal spa in Hveragerdi, surrounded by the volcanic landscapes of South Iceland. At the heart of the spa is a 900-square-metre lagoon, filled with natural, mineral-rich geothermal water and designed for relaxing while taking in the surrounding scenery. Alongside the lagoon, guests can enjoy cold plunges, a Kneipp pool, outdoor showers and an event sauna, while the swim-up bar provides the opportunity to enjoy a drink without leaving the warm waters.

For a more immersive wellness experience, upgrade to the Bathhouse, where a steam bath, herbal pool, snow room, float pool and relaxation areas offer a varied journey between heat, cold and relaxation. After bathing, head to Réttir restaurant for seasonal dishes inspired by Icelandic ingredients. Reykjaböð can be enjoyed as a relaxing stop during a South Iceland or Golden Circle journey, or as a destination in its own right for a few hours of rest and rejuvenation.
