This tour will provide a deep understanding of Lao textile production, including ancient dyeing techniques and traditional weaving methods. Held at Ock Pop Tock, a crafts centre near Luang Prabang, the program provides a hands-on experience with local artisans. Guests will start by learning about the cultural significance of Lao textiles, with personal stories shared by artisans. The day includes a visit to a silkworm farm to learn about Lao silk production, followed by an organic dyeing process using natural ingredients. After a Lao lunch by the Mekong River, participants will practice weaving traditional patterns on a local loom, guided by an expert. By the end of the day, guests will leave with unique, handmade textiles and a thorough understanding of their creation.
