Batad and Banga-an Village Trek

To reach the terraces, take a local jeepney for an hour to the starting point, where you'll begin your trek and descent to the village. Banga-an is a traditional village set in a scenic valley of terraces. A 20-minute downhill walk along paved trails offers an up-close view of the Ifugao culture. Explore the village, interact with the friendly locals, and visit a traditional home to learn about their way of life.

From there, it’s another hour's ride to the Batad Terraces, renowned for their amphitheatre shape and their role in Ifugao agriculture. These terraces are considered the most impressive in the Ifugao province. To fully appreciate their grandeur, a challenging climb up a hill is required for a view of this remarkable man-made structure carved into the mountain.
