Visit Baclayon Church, built from coral stone and crafted by over 200 labourers. Despite its age, it remains one of the best-preserved examples of its architectural style in the region. Next, head to the Tarsier Sanctuary to see the world's smallest primate, the tarsier. You may also meet Carlito Pizzaras, known as the “Tarsier Man.” For lunch, enjoy a Filipino-style meal on the Loboc River Cruise aboard a floating restaurant.
Afterwards, take a scenic drive through the countryside, passing nipa palms, coconut plantations, and mahogany forests to the town of Carmen. At the highest viewpoint, you’ll see the Chocolate Hills—1,268 dome-shaped, grass-covered limestone hills ranging from 40 to 120 meters high. During the summer, these hills turn brown, resembling rows of chocolate "kisses."
