The Gyeongju Heritage Discovery tour is perfect for history and culture enthusiasts. Starting at 09:00 with a private guide and air-conditioned vehicle, the tour begins with a visit to Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple. These sites, built during the Silla Kingdom, highlight the architectural mastery of the era, featuring intricate Buddhist carvings and statues, as well as Bulguksa’s wooden buildings and stone terraces.
After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, the tour continues to the Gyeongju National Museum. Here, you'll explore vast collections of artefacts, relics, and royal treasures that offer comprehensive insights into the art, culture, and history of the Silla dynasty. Next, visit the Daereungwon Tomb Complex, also known as Tumuli Park, which contains over 20 Silla-era tombs. Among them is the Cheonmachong Tomb, a typical upper-class tomb featuring a wooden coffin inside an underground chamber covered with boulders and earth.
The final stop is a walk to the historic Woljeong Bridge, which served as a gateway connecting the royal palaces of Silla to the south. The tour ends at Woljie Pond, an artificial pond that was part of the ancient Silla palace complex. Afterwards, bid farewell to the guide and transfer back to the hotel.
Note: This tour is available only as part of a multi-day itinerary.
