Embark on a fun and engaging Vietnam ‘Masterchef Challenge’ that puts your culinary skills to the test through the creation of delicious dishes and beverages. The challenge revolves around fresh spices, herbs, and fruits grown on an organic farm, ensuring a truly authentic experience. Highlights of the event include a blend of culinary fun, nutritional insights from a professional nutritionist, and the chance to unleash your creativity using the given ingredients to craft unique drinks and dishes.
The experience begins at either 08:30 or 14:30, with a transfer from your hotel to a hidden herb farm located about 3 kilometres from central Hoi An. This farm, established by a local food enthusiast and nutrition expert, provides a distinctive culinary adventure. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with refreshing drinks and introduced to the judges, a team of chefs and herbalists. Participants will be divided into small teams to compete in a series of four exciting culinary challenges.
The culinary adventure kicks off with the Herb Hunt (20 min), where teams race to identify hidden herbs in the garden or guess the ingredients in mystery teas. The fastest team wins! Next is the Spring Roll Showdown (20 min), where you'll learn the traditional art of rice paper making using an old stone grinder, then create your own spring rolls, judged on taste and presentation. Following this is Rice Pancake Paradise (20 min), where teams will watch a demonstration of rice pancake making and then attempt to recreate the dish, with the most delicious and beautiful pancakes taking the prize. Finally, in Mystery Box Mayhem (20 min), teams get creative with a surprise box of fruits, herbs, and juices to craft two unique drinks, aiming to impress the judges with both taste and presentation.
After the challenges, the judges will tally the results to determine the winning team. The experience concludes with a healthy lunch featuring fresh herbs from the garden, wrapping up this unique and memorable Vietnamese culinary adventure.
