Hotel Foroyar

Set on the hillside above Tórshavn, Hotel Føroyar combines contemporary Nordic design with some of the best views in the capital, looking across the city towards Nólsoy and the North Atlantic.

Designed to sit naturally within the Faroese landscape, with its distinctive grass roof and low-rise architecture, the hotel feels wonderfully peaceful yet Tórshavn's centre can be reached in around 15 minutes on foot via a path down the hillside.

Rooms and suites are bright and spacious, with many making the most of the hotel's elevated position and panoramic sea views. Options range from Standard, Superior and Deluxe Sea View rooms to larger Executive Suites, Family Rooms and Studios. Studios are particularly useful for families and longer stays, sleeping up to five and featuring a small kitchenette.

Dining

Ruts Restaurant showcases ingredients from the islands, with fish, shellfish and Faroese meat featuring alongside vegetarian dishes. The hotel also has a relaxed café and bar, making it easy to enjoy a drink or something lighter without heading into the city.

Location & Experiences

One of the hotel's biggest attractions is Ress Spa, a contemporary wellness retreat with heated pools, saunas and steam rooms, alongside a range of treatments and sauna rituals. Spa access is available at an additional charge and is for guests aged 16 and over. There's also a fitness room and complimentary parking, making Hotel Føroyar a particularly good base for clients exploring the islands by car.
