Hotel Hafnia has 79 rooms and four cottages. Rooms range from Classic Singles and Double Rooms to Superior Doubles and a Suite, with tea and coffee-making facilities, small refrigerators, TVs and free Wi-Fi. The Suite adds a separate living room and bathroom with Jacuzzi. For something different, the hotel's traditional-style cottages have turf roofs and kitchenettes and work particularly well for families or friends travelling together.
There is a good choice of places to eat in and around the hotel. Café Kaspar is a relaxed option for coffee, cakes and light meals, while Restaurant Katrina offers a more distinctive dining experience with dishes including Faroese lamb and sharing-style plates. Breakfast places an emphasis on local and environmentally responsible ingredients, with freshly baked bread each morning.
Hotel Hafnia's central setting is its greatest advantage. From here, it's easy to walk to Tinganes, á Reyni, the harbour and Skansin, as well as Tórshavn's cafés, restaurants and shops. Back at the hotel, guests can use the fourth-floor sauna free of charge, while complimentary access to Burn Fitness, around 180 metres away, is also included.
It's all about the location. Hotel Hafnia puts you right in the heart of Tórshavn, making it a particularly good choice if you want to step outside and explore the capital's old town, harbour, restaurants and cafés on foot.
