In the far north of Finnish Lapland, on the edge of beautiful Lake Inari, is the newly opened Wilderness Hotel Inari.
This is a remote retreat wherein the winter snow-covered forests and frozen lakes provide the backdrop to the day’s adventures and in the summer the midnight sun allows for night hikes, fishing and even fat bike riding through the fells. This location, far from light pollution is great for northern light viewing and even better in the Autumn, where the lights can be seen reflected in the calm waters of Lake Inari.
The hotel offers 4 different accommodation options from 40 Wilderness rooms, 8 Log cabins (sleeps 2 to 6 persons), 19 Aurora Cabins (sleeps 2 comfortably) and 32 Inari Arctic Chalets.
After your excursions or days spent exploring relax in the cosy lounge with huge windows overlooking the lake. During the summer the restaurant serves a delicious buffet lunch - healthy soups, fresh salads and locally caught fish are all on offer.
In the evening the restaurant serves either a buffet or a la carte and their chocolate pudding is pure decadence.
Wilderness Hotel Inari is around 40 minutes’ drive from Ivalo Airport and just five minutes from Inari Village, which is the centre of Sámi culture in Finland.
