Opening on 1 December 2026, North Resort is a new adults-only luxury retreat set on the peaceful shores of Lake Miekojärvi in Finnish Lapland, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes by car from Rovaniemi Airport. Located close to the Arctic Circle, the resort combines contemporary architecture and personalised service with a secluded lakeside setting, providing a base for exploring the surrounding wilderness and experiencing seasonal Arctic activities.
North Resort offers 14 private villas and two spacious premium suites, all built using northern timber and designed to complement their natural surroundings. The 39.5-square-metre villas feature a lounge area and views of either the lake or forest. For a more indulgent stay, the 71.4-square-metre premium suites include a private sauna, jacuzzi and fireplace, alongside a comfortable living space and scenic views.
The resort’s restaurant serves seasonal menus showcasing local produce and northern Finnish flavours. Created by chef Kim Mustonen, the three- and five-course dining options combine regional ingredients with contemporary cooking, accompanied by carefully selected wines. With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the surrounding landscape, the restaurant provides a relaxed setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
North Resort is ideally positioned for exploring Finnish Lapland throughout the year, with Lake Miekojärvi and the Arctic Circle close at hand. Activities include husky safaris, reindeer encounters, snowshoeing, ice fishing and snowmobile excursions in winter, alongside hiking, kayaking and cycling during the warmer months. Guests can also unwind in the private lakeside sauna, with opportunities for ice swimming in winter and views of the midnight sun in summer. Northern lights excursions are available from autumn through winter, offering another reason to experience this remote corner of Lapland.
