Casa Luxemburg

Set directly on Piața Mică in the historic heart of Sibiu, Casa Luxemburg is a characterful boutique hotel housed in a building retaining architectural features dating back to the 13th century. Its position within the old town is exceptional, with the Liars’ Bridge, Council Tower and Evangelical Cathedral quite literally on the doorstep. Historic character is combined with contemporary comforts, while many rooms enjoy wonderful views across Sibiu’s rooftops, squares and landmarks.

The individually styled rooms and suites are divided between views of Huet Square and the Evangelical Cathedral, or Piața Mică and the Liars’ Bridge. Accommodation ranges from a cosy double room to spacious Junior Suites and a Suite, with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, minibar, safe, Nespresso machine and tea-making facilities. Modern bathrooms feature walk-in rainfall showers.

Dining

A generous buffet breakfast is served each morning in the breakfast lounge, accompanied by views across Piața Mică towards the Liars’ Bridge and Council Tower. The hotel makes an effort to use locally sourced produce, with regional specialities including cheeses from Mărginimea Sibiului. Sibiu’s many restaurants, cafés and bars are just outside the door.

Location & Experiences

Few hotels could be better positioned for exploring Sibiu on foot. Step outside into Piața Mică, cross the Liars’ Bridge to Huet Square or wander through the passages and cobbled streets leading to Piața Mare. The Brukenthal National Museum, Council Tower, Evangelical Cathedral and many of the historic centre’s main sights are all within a few minutes’ walk.
